Work Layers
Art team starts with Modifying some layers inside Photoshop to fit best in unity
Rigging the character which is the process of adding bones to the character to simulate real life scenario by using unity’s built in 2D animation package.
Adding geometry around each of the body parts and making sure to add vertices in right places to simulate real human deformations.
With that done we start painting weights to make each bone affect parts of the sprites.
Adding IK constrains for the hands and foot to make animations realistic as possible.
Designing the animations characterize the character style.
Animating the main key poses to get the overall feeling and how It will look like, with that done we add in between frames for smooth animation.
Making four animation clips :
– Idle animation of fighting stance.
– Straight jab hit animation.
– Close jab hit animation.
– Combo Jab animation.
Is the last process where we take care of small details like hair movement and take care of inconvenient behaviours.
